It's hard to believe soft-spoken Kueo Miaoru possesses such a powerful voice and commanding presence when on stage. Even though she has only been actively performing for 2 years, the petite girl-next-door with a soulful voice is no stranger to the local music scene, having participated in many competitions and performances.

Ruth or more often known as Miaoru on stage, has been actively involved in Singapore's music scene in the recent years. She started singing at a tender age but began her journey after she graduated from Ocean Butterflies' Very Singer Artiste Trainng course in 2009, an artiste training course tailored for local budding singers.

Beneath her girl-next-door deposition lies a versatile and powerful voice which has brought many awards under her belt. Some of her prominent awards/showcases include, One Million Star PK Challenge 2009, Stardust 2010 Champion, President Star Charity Youth Challenge, and many more. Regionally, Miaoru has represented Singapore to appear on China - 江苏卫视，名师高徒，a national TV singing competition in 2009.

Miaoru is a seasoned demo singer and notably, has sung for prominent artistes such as, JJ 林俊杰, Joi Chua, Zhang Jing, local songwriter - 粱文福 and many others to date. Also a contracted songwriter under Touch Publishing, she enjoys composing and writing her own music and is currently working on releasing her debut EP locally. In 2012, she sang for a movie song titled 坚强的对白 (Composer: Tristan Ong) for a local production "The Wedding Diary/ 结婚那件事“, and it was released digitally through local mandarin radio stations (YES933. FM100.3) and Youtube.

Adding on to her vast interest in music, Miaoru is also a a vocal instructor coaching in local music schools.
